The Real Club de Golf at Campoamor is only about 20 minutes' drive from your accommodation. The course itself is about 100m above sea level and is bordered to the south by the Tagus-Segura Canal . The 18 holes run through two connected valleys, surrounded by gently undulating ridges, which protect it from the wind and create a special microclimate, which allows people to play all year round. The front nine at Campoamor are fairly open, but fast, well protected greens are just waiting to catch the unwary. The back nine holes are an all together more demanding proposition as they wind through steep sided hills. Marvellous views over the Mediterranean .
Our golfing partner, Tony Head says, "Campoamor, only 1 km from Las Ramblas, is totally different. A long open course, usually in pristine condition, is a must to play. Although you can spray your tee shots a little, the greens are large and very three-putable! The clubhouse is palatial. One of the best in Spain."
